Books, Books, Books!
We have some great books here at The Gate!
 We have Spooky Stitches by June McKnight. Step into our parlour and behold the latest in June's series of needlepoint stitching books. We promise it will not bite, but it is a scream! One hundred and twenty-five ghoulish pages of stitches especially appropriate for those spook-tacular Halloween canvases, sure to make each design an eye-popping wonder.
We also have Stitch Landscape. This book is divided into many different categories: Clouds, Flowers,Grass, Mountains Sand, Shrubbery, Sky, Snow, Soil, Stone, Trees/Tree Bark, and Water. At the beginning of each category are Stitch Hints indicated with a Light Bulb. The Stitch Hints give you a fresh and creative way to stitch using different fiber and textures. Each category has a huge selection of stitches to chose from--just pick a stitch and go. This is a great reference book for those of you looking for a new twist on stitching. Both are must-haves for avid stitchers.
A New Stitching Club!

Pincushion Kits from Just Another Button Company
These are some of the most adorable things we've seen--kits to create your very own pincushion, from the Just Another Button Company. These kits include everything you need to craft a pincushion, and feature their own Just Another Button Company buttons and "Just Pins," which you can change with the seasons, or to match your decor. We have several endearing designs, like the ones pictured below, and more!   
 The Halloween Ornament of the Month Club is here! Our first three ornaments in this fun series are available! These adorable ornaments, hand-painted exclusively for The Gate by Cheryl Schaeffer, are sold in a kit that includes fibers and a stitch guide.
